Andorra

The national flag of the Principality of Andorra was adopted in 1866.

The flag is a vertical tricolor of blue, yellow, and red with the coat of arms of Andorra in the center. Although the three vertical bars may at first appear to be of equal width, the center yellow bar is slightly wider than the other two so that the ratio of bar widths is 8:9:8. The overall flag ratio is 7:10.

American Samoa

The flag of American Samoa was adopted on April 24, 1960.

The eagle present on the flag represents the nation's relationship with the United States. The eagle holds traditional symbols of power among Samoan chiefs in its claws.

Algeria

The national flag of Algeria (Arabic: علم الجزائر) consists of two equal vertical stripes, green and white, and in the centre bears a red star and crescent.

The white colour is for peace, while the green is for Islam and the red is for the blood of the martyrs of the Algerian war of independence (1954 to 1962).
The flag came into order on July 3, 1962.

Albania

The national flag of Albania is a red flag with a black two-headed eagle in the center

The horizontal open-winged eagle symbolises the lack of submission of the highland Albanians to foreign conquest.

Afghanistan

Afghanistan has had more national flags in history than any other country in the world.

This flag consists of three stripes of the colors black, red, and green. This has been present on most flags of Afghanistan in the last twenty years. The center emblem is the classical emblem of Afghanistan with a mosque with its mihrab facing Mecca.

The pre-Taliban-era and Afghan Northern Alliance flag featured the same emblem, but with green, white and black horizontal stripes instead.
